2015 ELIG Annual Conference: New Competences Made in Europe

Location: Berlin, Germany, 9:00 - 18:30
Website: Visit website

10-11 September, 2015 - Berlin, GERMANY

The ELIG conference will investigate how the development of  digital competences and skills can be supported on a broader scale and more holistically than today in all levels of the European education systems. In this context we will also investigate trends and leading examples of corresponding learning innovations from the viewpoint of learning- and educational providers as well as institutions.

In  the town of Wilhelm von Humboldt – and in the heart of this vibrant city at Pariser Platz and Brandenburg Gate, the ELIG conference co-organized with the German Stifterverband and FernUniversität in Hagen is sparking a debate on how the classical education ideal of empowering the individual to lead a self-determined, active and responsible life in society translates into the modern digital society.

We warmly invite you to be part of this highly actual debate with speakers and contributors such as:

  • Markku Markkula, President European Committee of the Regions

  • Gesche Joost, German Digital Champion towards the EU

  • Thomas Sattelberger, CEO German STEM Initiative (MINT Zukunft), former HR Board Member Deutsche Telekom AG
