The overall aim of the European Projects English course is to improve significantly the quality of students’ written project proposals to meet the expectations of professional proficiency-level (C2) readers of English. This will be achieved by the development of appropriate knowledge, skills and techniques, which can be applied to advantage in various written assignments. The course will cover aspects of developing an appropriate formal style for both oral and written communications, expressing and linking ideas in writing, synthesiing information to arrive at a persuasive and coherent written conclusion, and acquiring the specific EU project proposal vocabulary and formulae needed in order to submit a successful project. Participants can also expect to improve their wider communication and presentation skills.
35 hours of class lectures and practical sessions with the support of the trainers;
Familiarise on different proposal sections and how to address them professionally;
Familiarise with success factors on writing successful proposals;
Familiarise with the Learn-It-Easy methodology on writing the PPO – Project Proposal Outline / a well structured summary as the basis for a successful proposal;
Acquire the knowledge of EU projects terminology;
Interact more confidently in the workplace;

Course leader - Mr. Nikolaos Floratos
He organises and delivers mainly the courses on Successful Planning and Management of European Funded Projects as well as Effective Dissemination and Exploitation of European funded projects. He has also been engaged as expert from the European Commission on evaluating proposals requesting EC funding as well as reviewing EU projects since 2003 and he has managed so far more than seventy EU projects since 1997. He presents the most suitable mix as an EC expert and project manager with teaching experience. He has worked in six European countries and has cooperated and trained hundreds of individuals and organizations in successful proposal writing as well as project management of European funded projects.
