International Organisation hiring Internet Freedom Festival Diversity Consultant

Description

The IFF Diversity Consultant will be an integral part of developing and strengthening the culture of the IFF by bringing in best practices related to inclusion and providing support to groups and individuals while at the event. Specifically, they will help craft a code of conduct, provide mentorship to track leads on how to ensure their track is more inclusive, research and share tools for the community to avoid common pitfalls, and create a safe space for conflict resolution. At the end of the event, a document including the best practices and success cases will be shared to move forward for other events, and provide a roadmap of key challenges in diversity and inclusion in the Internet Freedom community.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing guidelines for holding inclusive presentations;

  • Infusing diversity and inclusiveness during the event;

  • Providing on­site group facilitation for the opening and closing events;

  • Troubleshooting cross­-cultural issues on­site during the event;

  • Writing the event's Code of Conduct;

  • Creating a document including the best practices and success cases with the key challenges in diversity and inclusion in the Internet Freedom community
