Guided by the mandates and priorities set forth in IDB-9 andthe Human Capital Strategy (HCS), the IDB is committed to develop a HighPerformance Organization (Pillar II) and address Management & LeadershipCapacity Building (Pillar III). The Leadership Development Programme is a practice area of the Leadership and Employee Development Division and supports the overarching challenges if a) reorienting the incentives programmes towards collaboration, performance and results and b) strengthening managerial leadership.
The Leadership Development Programmes to be offered to HRD leaders in 2013-2015 include: i) People Managers Workshops, ii) Leadership Programmes for Business Leaders and Country Representatives, iii) Leadership Programmes for Emerging Leaders (Women, Project Team Leaders, and iv) Other targeted programmes.
These Terms of Reference define the proposed activities fora Contractual as Leadership Development Contractual in Programme Design,Development, Implementation and Evaluation.
Instructional design, implementation and evaluation of specific leadership development programmes, in collaboration with internal and external experts and areas of the Bank. The consultant will also contribute with other HRD programmes, per request.
The selected candidate will:
Update the current instructional design, implementation and evaluation of People Managers Workshops, Leading Change and Team Leaders Programmes.
Coordinate the implementation of Communications programmes sourced by EXR and/or external vendors.
Contribute to the design, development and roll out of the Leadership Development Programmes for Business Leaders and Country Representatives.
Contribute to the design of leadership development learning solutions for project team leaders, in coordination with KNL.
Design evaluations for leadership development programmes, using institutional standards.
Provide inputs for Leadership Development Reports to upper management.
Develop communication instruments and strategies to deploy Leadership Development programmes.
Collaborate with other activities, as requested by the Team Lead and/or the Leadership and Employee Development Division Chief.
Contract duration: 19 – 24 months.
