World Bank recruiting Consultant on Cultural Aspects to Work on Financial Literacy Materials

Objectives/Purpose of Assignment

The Project implements financial literacy program that will lead to improvement of living standards of the population, economy and improve social welfare, by smart management of personal finances, optimization of the savings-consumption, and making reasonable decisions when investing savings, and in using a variety of financial products and services. The Project decided to engage a consultant on cultural aspects who will help to adopt educational materials taking into account specificity of mentality and culture of people living in Azerbaijan.

Scope of work

  • Based on received documents analyze all research materials that will be provided by World Bank.

  • Take part in feasibility study on financial literacy in Baku and find out clients needs in terms of cultural aspects.

  • Based on clients feedback received during feasibility study, develop report in word format in English and local language with key findings and elaborate key methodologies on specificity of mentality and culture of people living in Azerbaijan.

Jointly with World Bank Consultant on financial literacy:

  • work out recommendations and identify appropriate delivery channels, which should be used for better coverage of the end borrowers.

  • analyze and work up all educational materials based on the mentality peculiarity and cultural specific of people living in Azerbaijan.

  • develop and deliver presentation in English and local languages for local market players on educational materials.

  • finalize educational materials and key messages in English and local languages.

Deliverables

  • It is expected that Consultant will work 20 days during the period from February 25, 2015 till June 30, 2015.

  • Analyze all research materials that will be provided by World Bank by March 1, 2015.

  • Take part in feasibility study on financial literacy in Baku on March 2-5, 2015 to find out clients needs in terms of cultural aspects.

  • Develop report with key findings and recommendation on cultural aspects in English and local language and submit it in Word format by March 13, 2015.

Jointly with World Bank Consultant on financial literacy:

  • work out recommendations and identify appropriate delivery channels, which should be used for better coverage of the end borrowers by March 17, 2015.

  • analyze and work up all educational materials based on the mentality peculiarity and cultural specific of people living in Azerbaijan by April 3, 2015.

  • develop and deliver presentation in English and local languages for local market players on educational materials by April 10, 2015.

  • finalize educational materials and key messages in English and local languages, which need to be discussed with the working group on financial literacy by April 17, 2015.

Acceptance of Deliverables

Deliverables are to be submitted in English and local language: report with key findings in word format, presentation in power point format.
