Courses for Professionals Financed by the Erasmus+ Programme (2014-2016)


Prague, Czech Republic, 04 March 2014


European Development Agency Ltd., a leading Czech consulting company for European co-operation projects, will organise a series of training courses in 2014 for professionals in the field of education, training and youth. The trainings will take place in the Czech capital Prague and will be done by trainers and lecturers who have long-term experience with international projects funded by the EU. Each course will consist of 4 full working days in addition to the arrival and departure days and learning will be facilitated through various methods, such as lectures, presentations, workshops, debates, simulations, project visits and social activities.

The costs of participating in each training is as follows:

  • course fees: 350 EUR

  • food and accommodation: 450 EUR

It is possible to finance your participation in one of the courses through the EU’s Erasmus+ programme (KA1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals). If selected, you will get a grant covering all or almost all of the costs associated with your participation in the training course (preparation, travel, food, accommodation, course fees).

You should submit a grant application to the Erasmus+ National Agency in your country by March 17, 2014. You can obtain the text of the call and all the necessary application forms from the website of your National Agency

Education through International Co-operation

The course covers the basic aspects of project management in international co-operation projects funded by the EU, with a special emphasis on the Erasmus+ programme. The participants will learn about the key features of international co-operation projects, from how to find partners and establish an efficient partnership, through matching project ideas with the available funding opportunities, filling out the application form and managing the project until its conclusion. The participants will have a chance to develop their own projects on-site with the help of the experienced trainers and leave the training with an almost filled out application form. The course takes place at a convenient time before the deadline for submitting project applications to the participants’ Erasmus+ National Agencies.

Innovation in Tourism

The course is aimed at promoting innovation in tourism education and projects promoting the development of tourism. The participants will get an overview of the new trends and innovations in the field of tourism, as well as an overview of European policies in the field of tourism. The aim of the course is to provide the participants with competences needed to promote innovation in tourism, so they can transfer these to their students and colleagues after the course. The course will introduce and develop new concepts of destination management and promotion of tourism destinations, along with the principles of product innovations and sustainable tourism. As the course is taking place in Prague, one of the major tourist centers in Europe and worldwide, the participants will have a chance to visit and experience first-hand some of the concepts introduced in the course.

Lifelong Learning as an Active Ageing Strategy

The course aims at developing the competences of adult education staff and employees of the social services institutions working with people aged over 50 who face the risk of unemployment or early retirement at the time when they can still take an active role on the labour market. During the course, the participants will get acquainted with the most recent developments in the field of active ageing, explore the concept of lifelong learning as an active ageing strategy, as well as learn how to obtain funding for projects dealing with this topic.

Social Innovations

The course focuses on the issue of social innovations and the transfer of know-how across Europe and between different sectors. The aim of the course is to introduce the importance of social innovations in the daily life of individuals and the daily work of institutions working with such individuals; to familiarize the participants with the main aspects of developing and implementing innovative practices and projects in the field of social services; and to teach the participants how to get funding for their project ideas and the needs of their organization.

Use of New ICT in Vocational Education

Research has shown that the use of ICT in the process of education creates better teaching methods leads to better student learning. The course will focus on the use of ICT in the field of vocational education, with an emphasis on new technologies. The participants will learn about the benefits of using ICT in the field of vocational education, as well as about the new ICT solutions in vocational education. As introducing new technologies and familiarizing the staff and students with their use can be rather expensive, the course will also show the participants how to develop projects introducing new ICT in the classrooms and obtain funding from the EU for financing such projects.
