GIZ hiring Experts in the Field of Macroeconomic, Statistics and Public Finance Management

As a federal enterprise, GIZ supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.

Field of activity

GIZ International Services is currently looking for international experts in the field of macroeconomic, statistics and public finance management to be appointed for short term assignments in third countries in the framework of an EC tender for a Multiple Framework Contract (MFC) in this area.

The programme (MFC) is planned to start in September 2013 for a duration of two years. During this period experts will be deployed for short-term assignments, which may take place in any of the beneficiary countries of EU External Aid Programs. The assignments have usually a duration of 2 weeks up to 6 months in the region and will require the expertise in one or more of the below mentioned sectors.

Tasks

The tasks to be performed might cover:

  • expertise regarding any stage of the project cycle (with the exception of audits): identification, implementation, evaluation, preparation of terms of reference or technical specifications, monitoring, etc.;

  • expertise regarding any of the following horizontal aspects: sectoral policies and reforms, macroeconomics,public financial management, legislation and law enforcement, capacity development, training and research,awareness-raising (incl. information and communication).
