UNICEF hiring Digital Fundraising and Virtual Reality Consultant

The purpose of this consultancy assignment is to support the high quality delivery of the virtual reality project and workshop and digital knowledge sharing initiatives and workshop. This will involve supporting the Digital, Content and Pledge Managers with excellent project management and communications, working closely with project vendors, partners and UNICEF National Committees and country offices around the world. In addition, this assignment may require working effectively across the organization with the Innovation Unit and the Division of Communications (DOC) and other UN agencies such as the UNMC.

The purpose of this role is twofold: to support the technical requirements of virtual reality knowledge sharing and digital service delivery. Fundraising knowledge, while an asset, would not be mandatory for this assignment.

Qualifications and Experience of Successful Candidate:

  • Advanced university degree in communication, marketing, management or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in project management, communication, marketing, fundraising or account management at the international level.

  • Experience with National Committees, country offices and the private sector is desirable.

  • Hands-on technical experience with virtual reality and a thorough understanding of current trends in this technology are essential for this role.

  • Experience in digital or communications would be a distinct asset.

  • Excellent written and oral skills in English are essential. French is an asset.

  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail are essential.
