United Nations recruiting Consultant to Conduct Gender and Economic Policy Management Trainings

Duties and Responsibilities

The overall objective of the consultancy are:

To undertake a training of trainers for Gender and Economic policy Management and a one week country-level training on gender mainstreaming in economic policy management. The  specific tasks  of the assignment include:

Task 1:

  • Conduct a training of trainers workshop for 35 selected participants in Uganda including a needs assessment for the specific category;

  • Prepare necessary context specific training materials on gender and Economic policy Management initiative training in line with existing social and economic frameworks in Uganda.

Task 2:

  • With overall guidance from United Nations and in Consultation with Government of Uganda, develop  guiding framework to support the institutionalization of GEPMI and  proposal for Uganda customization of GEPMI Modules.


  • To undertake a one week training on GEPMI for 35 policy makers, planners, economists and development practitionerson selected modules.


Task 1:

  • Approved Workplan and TOT Assessment methodology;

  • Delivery of TOT and training report with recommended list of candidates;

  • Guidelines.

Task 2:

  • Guiding framework  for GEPMI Institutionalization in Uganda and Methodology for customization of GEPMI Modules in Uganda.

Task 3:

  • Delivery all GEPMI modules to Policy makers and training report including in recommendations for further training.
