EBRD recruiting Principal Banker in Manufacturing and Services Team

There is an opportunity for an experienced Banker to join the Manufacturing & Services (M&S) team on a 12 month short term contract due to the maternity leave of a team member. Suitably qualified Associate level Bankers with relevant experience may also be considered at Associate Banker level.
The Banker is expected to make a significant contribution to the development and execution of the team’s projects under the general supervision of the M&S Director/senior bankers. This will include:- origination of new bankable leads; execution of existing complex transactions using the full range of financing structures and instruments available to the Bank; and providing support to the Portfolio Manager, M&S by coordinating monitoring and management of loans and investments undertaken by M&S bankers.
The position would be based either in London or in Istanbul – to be determined in the course of recruitment - so interest in being located in one or either of these locations should be made clear.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Originate and execute new transactions and existing projects, proactively engage in the oversight of these projects.
Ensure that quality of debt and equity transaction structuring and implementation of projects, is consistent with the EBRD mandate, strategy and standards
Actively lead, or as appropriate, support detailed project processing work.
Prepare and supervise project documentation for submission to and approval by the Bank’s Operations Committee and Board. Ensure appropriate quality and thoroughness of inter-departmental consultation on such projects prior to Committee and Board review and of their presentation.
Liaise and work with other departments, coordinating their involvement in the project as required.
Work with Portfolio Manager, M&S and team management to help manage the existing portfolio of loans and investments to build and protect revenue-earning assets. Actively participate in the monitoring of investments including preparation of regular monitoring reports, managing client relationship and recommendation of disbursements, waivers etc. and resolve issues.
Review and take responsibility for the quality control of legal agreements, financial and other due diligence analysis
Contract duration: 12 month maternity cover.
