UNOPS recruiting Business Analyst

UNOPS Advisory Services aims to assist governments develop their institutional and organizational capacity in the areas of public procurement and public infrastructure / public works and thus fulfill their aspirations for operational excellence and national ownership. Our ambition is to become a leading provider of advisory services to pubic sectors in developing countries,helping them build better performing organizations. The Business Analyst will work in the Advisory Services team under the direct supervision of the Advisory Services Programme Manager. The Business Analyst role will support the operation and management of Advisory Services as well as business development activities.

Functional Responsibilities

The Business Analyst’s responsibilities will include:

Managing the Advisory Services Pool of Experts

  • Build and maintain the roster of international advisors, managing the recruitment of senior advisors

  • Support Country Offices and internal clients in relation to contracting advisors from the identification of candidates through the review process to contracting (managing the actual contracting for Advisory Services funded missions), ensuring UNOPS policies and standards are adhered to

  • Support advisors with mission logistics and administration

  • Proactively manage communication with advisors on the roster, ensuring that all advisors are up to date with upcoming opportunities

  • Provide substantial input to the continuous improvement of the Roster recruitment process

  • Maintaining information about advisors, including contractual and HR information, on SharePoint

Knowledge Management and Operations Support

  • Develop and maintain the Advisory Services knowledge system/content on the Intranet and external website

  • Manage the document archives for the recruitment process, ensuring adherence to UNOPS policies

  • Support the Advisory Services Programme Manager on analyzing financial, administrative and operational matters

  • Provide substantial input to the continuous improvement of knowledge management and operations

Business Development Support

  • Support the Advisory Services Business Developer with tender documents requirements

  • Develop presentations, concept papers and proposals when needed

  • Contribute to the development of marketing collateral when needed

Contract duration: 1 year.
