About the role

We are currently recruiting a highly competent Consultant based at our Headquarters/ Rome, Italy to provide project management and change management’s expertise for the implementation of a high-performing LMS. This role will implement a world-class Learning Management System and assure that this global LMS becomes the single entry point for any employee of WFP to access learning.

More specifically, the consultant will be responsible for the following activities:

Project Management

  • Support LMS Project Manager with planning, administration, and tasks coordination during each phase of the project

  • Assist Project Manager with tracking progress made on project plan and with regular status updates to HR leadership team and to learning work group

  • Organise and attend meetings for project team, with key stakeholders, with HR leadership team and learning work group and with external LMS provider

  • Liaise on a regular basis with external LMS provider 

Learning Process Analysis

  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of the learning process in WFP according to the Learning and Capability Development framework, the career development framework and the performance management cycle

  • Conduct discovery meetings to define the needs in terms of a learning management system from (1) the learning focal points in field and (2) from the functional learning providers (Subject-Matter Experts)

  • Conduct change impact assessments with (1) the learning focal points in field and (2) the functional learning providers (Subject-Matter Experts)

  • Provide input to LMS provider on WFP learning rules, different roles and permissions and on design of learning and related HR-processes

  • Translate diagnosis and analysis into LMS features needed with LMS provider 

System Configuration, Integration and “Go-Live”:

  • Ensuring LMS design & configuration actions are documented and executed

  • Follow-up and test the configure application to meet WFP’s specific learning process requirements

  • Train all required participants in UAT on best practices, share testing scripts and assure a smooth UAT with all required stakeholders

  • Document and track the required LMS enhancement requests and assist with testing of any identified errors

  • Assist in data mapping activities to support migration to and integration with LMS

  • Assure a smooth transition from previous LMS to the new LMS by helping different stakeholders to upload progressively all knowledge and training material to new LMS

  • Maintain mastery knowledge of existing LMS and ensure that the new LMS becomes the single entry point for anyone accessing learning

  • Ensure hyper-care after the LMS go-live 

Change Management – Communication – Training

  • Establish a proper visual identity for the LMS and define an attractive brand for the LMS

  • Design and roll-out an organizational communication campaign through setting up the needed super user system, briefing the IT helpdesk –ask HR, sharing the relevant information

  • Define the different training needs for LMS according to different categories of LMS users (learning focal points, learning providers, end users, line-managers, LMS team, etc.)

  • Educate and provide needed training to the different categories of LMS users in a timely manner 

In addition, the consultant will be expected to support the Capability Development team with other learning programmes from the learning needs analysis through vendor management, learning solution development, learning delivery, LMS administration until learning measurement and reporting.
