Job Description

In our EMENA Department ((working in the Europe, Middle East and North Africa region), we are currently looking for an enthusiastic and optimistic colleague, who will support our on-going projects as well as actively assist in the acquisition of new contracts. Duty station will be Hamburg, Germany, with frequent travel to the EMENA region. As a Consultant you will be a team member of our EMENA Department. Under guidance of the Portfolio Manager, you will work with increasing responsibility in project management functions, technical concept development and strategic business development. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Project acquisition in the field of Rule of Law development, with a strong focus on security sector and justice reform;

  • Technical backstopping and project management (financial and technical administration, monitoring and evaluation of projects and studies);

  • Carry out short term consultancy and technical and administrative backstopping assignments abroad;

  • Client and partner management (maintaining and establishing networks and professional relationships with donor agencies, beneficiaries, partner companies or institutions, subcontractors, individual experts);

  • Knowledge management.

Duration of assignment: 2 years contract with option to be extended.
