SNV hiring Marketing Communications Team Leader

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Business Development, SNV seeks an experienced and creative Marketing Communications Team Lead ready for the challenge of taking our global brand to the next level. The Marketing Communications Team Leader will manage a team of 5 focused on positioning SNV as a brand, profiling our products, knowledge and expertise, supporting business development and strategic communications. The main audience of our B2B marketing communications approach is (current/potential) financiers and partners. At the heart is developing and implementing marketing and communication plans to support the roll out of our new strategic plan for 2019 to 2022 and firmly position SNV in the global market place as a market leader in agriculture, energy, and WASH.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and inspire the marketing communications team to translate the SNV brand story into written material, events, and website/social media presence. A key element is to emphasize results at scale, systems change, and local know how.

  • Prioritize and organize actions and resources within the team to achieve the highest bang for the buck taking into account requests from global sector teams (Agriculture, Energy and WASH) and country teams. This includes maintaining a calendar of campaigns and events to profile SNV;

  • Quality assurance of the SNV brand in all communications and campaigns by our teams across the world, managing SNV's social media channels (including LinkedIn, Twitter), website and online brand profile;

  • Build and maintain an overview and profiles of our priority donors and partners, key relationships at a strategic level, supporting our Market Development Managers with external relations management, events planning, etc.;

  • Lead the development of a knowledge repository and library of capability statements, country fact sheets, and other materials that can be building blocks for proposal development;

  • Provide hands-on support and backstopping to the team;

  • Review speaking notes, press releases and other PR and communications materials where needed, for the CEO and Managing Board.
