UNOPS recruiting Admin Finance Assistant

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the financial management officer, the Admin Finance Assistant in the Finance Practice Group (FPG) at Headquarters, Copenhagen, ensures effective execution of financial services and processes and transparent utilization of financial resources.

Functional Responsibilities


  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on progress made by the FPG teams with balanced scorecard targets.

  • Enter and extract data from various automated UNOPS systems, such as human resource, finance, procurement, travel, etc.

  • Verify and check accuracy of data from hard copy records and files.

  • Gather information, analyse and prepare reports for statistical and monitoring purposes.

  • Facilitate the FPG meetings, workshops & conferences, training seminars, accommodation including participants' travel and administrative arrangements, negotiating and securing meeting venues and setting-up of meetings.

  • Act as leave monitor for FPG and handle all requests for office supplies, furniture, archive maintenance, etc.

  • Assist in drafting of reports and minutes during meetings

  • Support the admin finance team providing assistance during peak workload or back-up as necessary, to ensure completion of work objectives.


  • Assist in review of supporting documents for vouchers and receipts, ensuring completeness of supporting documentation

  • Enter transactions and financial data in UNOPS ERP system

  • Analyse reports, investigate and prepare adjustment as required

  • Assist with other finance related tasks and processes.

  • Liaise with other finance staff in the organization in the preparation of payments, data reconciliation, or audit activities.

  • Assist in periodic closing of books.

Contract duration: Initial 1 year, with possible extension. Part Time: Please note that this contract is a part time contract of 60% (24 hours) and work hours are expected to be 6 hours for 4 working days a week
