Objectives/Purpose of Assignment
IFC is looking for dynamic, motivated, and detail-oriented analysts with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills to join IFC's team of corporate governance ("CG") specialists who are responsible for supporting IFC investments in all regions where IFC operates. The Analysts will be part of a global team of CG specialists.
Locations for these positions will be in Africa (Johannesburg), Asia (Bangkok or Singapore), the Middle East (Dubai) and USA (Washington, D.C.).
Duties and Accountabilities:
This Analyst-level position will support the various CG activities across the region. Specifically, the position will provide support to:
Research and analysis. Perform research and analysis on CG and ESG related issues and topics. in support of the CG program, as needed.
Portfolio Monitoring. Assist with a structured portfolio monitoring process of the IFC investment portfolio, helping monitor CG actions implemented in IFC clients, documenting high-risk issues, preparing related reports, and helping to follow-up with clients and investment teams, as needed.
Firm-Level diligence. Support firm-level engagements (both as advisory to the client and/or as investment diligence for IFC), helping the team analyze data to form a view on CG practices in a company, identify gaps and recommendations, prepare a summary report, and present findings.
Firm-Level Implementation. Help client companies implement CG changes, including providing input for drafting policies and procedures, drafting/reviewing various templates and tools, and organizing targeted training.
Knowledge Management. Research and develop knowledge insights and products produced within and outside the region, liaising with the global KM team and ensure the team has most up to date information on CG risks and issues within and outside IFC's portfolio.
Training. Help conduct various market-level training and advocacy events such as training workshops, conferences, roundtables, and other awareness-raising events.
Regulatory Review. Assist the team in reviewing CG/ESG-related laws and regulations, liaising with regulators and subject experts to provide input.
Project Management. Support project planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting for the various CG advisory projects in the region, including the identification of key performance indicators, following-up with clients/partners, and tracking of data, and development of reports.
Other. Assist the project management in any other duties that may be required.
