International Organisation hiring Finance Coordinator in Public Health Sector

International Organisation is seeking a Finance Coordinator to be based in Arlington, VA. APC is a 5-year USAID-funded project . It advances and supports community programmes that seek to improve the overall health of communities and achieve other health-related impacts, especially in relationship to family planning. International Organisation provides global leadership for community-based programming, executes and manages small and medium-sized sub-awards, supports procurement reform by preparing awards for execution by USAID, and builds technical capacity of organisations to implement effective programmes.

The Finance Coordinator will work directly under the Finance Director, and will work closely with the grants and operations team as well as the Benin and Ethiopia or Ebola Transmission Prevention (Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone) project offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative and Operations Responsibilities

  • Process and closely coordinate with the project office teams on monthly field accounts and cash operating requests.

  • Support issues related to personnel, including creation of position descriptions, scopes of work, the hiring process and orientation of new staff to the project.

  • Support travel processes and procedures.

  • Assist in identifying and recruiting qualified technical experts for long-term and short-term consulting assignments. Activities will include collecting CVs, providing guidance and clarification on the scope of work, drafting consultant agreements, and processing payment requests for contracted consultants.

  • Prepare and submit purchase orders for action. Support procurement process as requested.

  • Provide support to the Benin project office technical team technical, including technical activities as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Grants Responsibilities

  • Assist in the solicitation and award process for grants within the portfolio, including preparation of solicitations (scopes of work, application instructions, compliance documentation, etc.), logistics of technical and financial evaluation committees, and development of final grant agreements.

  • Support ongoing monitoring of all phases of grant award, including reviewing financial reports, ensuring compliance with USAID regulations, and tracking receipt of programmatic reports and deliverables.

  • Other duties as assigned.
