BRIDGE is a five-year project that will support the office of Forestry and Biodiversity (FAB) as it works with USAID technical offices, regional bureaus, and missions to integrate biodiversity concerns into the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects in different technical areas such as democracy and governance, health, and economic growth.
This position will be responsible for providing substantial technical direction, input, and management for activities improving the evidence base for biodiversity and development integration. This position will work with USAID and external partners to understand the body of evidence for the linkages between biodiversity and development, identify gaps and opportunities to fill those gaps, and will develop relationships with relevant institutions to further this work. Together with other Key Personnel, this position will be responsible to identify how evidence for integration can be used to inform and influence critical programmatic and policy processes. S/he will have an understanding of the relevant scientific and experience-based literature, have strong skills and experience in conducting or overseeing applied research in the conservation and development field, including secondary research and analysis methods (e.g., systematic review), and be familiar with the principle actors and initiatives in this area.
