IFC recruiting a consultant to develop a Farming and SMEs Tool Kit

The International Finance Corporation’s Sustainable Business Advisory (SBA) teams work at the firm and sector level to develop inclusive and environmentally sustainable and efficient markets. Farmer and SME Training (FaST) is one of seven products within SBA. FaST aims to increase SMEs/Farmers ability to expand access to growth markets by strengthening their management capacity (financial literacy, business acumen) and technical skills (farmer productivity).

FaST plans to strengthen operations, formulate strategic direction and improve impact of the SME Toolkit over the next year. The STC will provide support with program implementation and contribute to the program development. The selected candidate will report to the SME Toolkit Program Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide support in managing contractual agreements with SME Toolkit Local Partners together with the IFC regional teams, including the coordination of reviewing and clearing new agreements and agreements for renewal.

  • Support the SME Toolkit regional network by responding to requests and ensuring local partner portfolio quality.

  • Coordinate the Content Management Training and Train the Trainer schedule of partners and liaise with the SME Toolkit trainers.

  • Contribute to and support SME Toolkit project design, such as input on global and regional project documents, portfolio reviews, impact assessment, online annual SME Toolkit user survey.

  • Provide support for the resource management of SME Toolkit programs, especially with the procurement process and management of vendors.

  • Support implementation of the SME Toolkit communications strategy, both internal within IFC and external. 

  • Contribute to global SME Toolkit social media campaigns.

  • Coordinate responses to requests for information and internal reporting for program results.

  • Coordinate and support global knowledge sharing efforts for regions, projects and Local Partners.

  • Support the formulation and implementation of the medium-term strategy for the SME Toolkit.

  • Coordinate logistics for annual SME Toolkit Global Partner Conference

  • Support the global SME Toolkit team with project management as needed.
