ICC recruiting Java Applications Programmer

Duties and Responsibilities

The International Criminal Court is an eCourt that utilizes electronic systems for all its legal processes including investigations, hearings, analysis and disclosure. The Information and Communications Technologies Section provides technical support for these solutions within an environment highly focused on information security, information integrity and availability.

The Information Services Unit is a central service provider for information systems development, maintenance and application support within the ICC.

Under the Supervision of the Systems Analyst the Applications Programmer will:

  • Design, develop, and configure software solutions to support well-defined, routine business procedures, focusing on the area of judicial administrative activities.

  • Maintain and modify or extend the existing applications / programs and Electronic Court Systems, utilizing standard procedures and techniques.

  • Develop new software modules and integration routines as business requirements arise.

  • Participate in certain aspects of business analysis, systems analysis and systems design.

  • Convert procedures into applications and programs required for computer solutions using a customer centric and service provider approach.

  • Develop test plans, perform unit tests and integrated tests, in conformance with version control procedures.

  • Document programme code.

Contract duration: a two-year appointment with the possibility of extension (six month probationary period).
