TI hiring Information and Communication Technologies Director

Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
The ICT Director leads, directs and oversees the Information Communications Technology function and ensures continuous operation and cost-efficiency of the TI-S systems, network, database architecture and data security, in order to achieve consistency and reliability of hardware, software, non-system tools, data archiving and disaster recovery management.
Leading on the development of the IT environment that ensures effective and secure Management Information Systems are in place (this includes responsibility for the IT Department, leading the ICT Strategy and the development of IT Policies & Standards for the TI-Secretariat)
Ensuring effective cooperation with various stakeholders at the Secretariat, in particular with the External Relations Group, including the online communications team; effectively managing the development of the IT function including the continuous development of the IT staff
Undertaking research and analysis to inform TI on emerging technologies and trends that can benefit TI and leading on the implementation of new ICT systems and developments to existing systems; overseeing changes in the structure of the IT service in response to changing requirements
Ensuring that all IT change management is executed correctly (i.e. it is planned and managed using appropriate Project Management techniques), and overseeing the portfolio of ICT projects, including the coordination of applications to external funding bodies; ensuring that all developed solutions are designed within acceptable parameters and are delivered to the standards specified
Ensuring that the ICT needs of all departments are taken into account and advising the MG on priorities; ensuring ICT systems comply with regulatory and legal requirements
Implementing TI-S Policies and Procedures and taking responsibility for producing and reviewing those policies concerning the use of ICT; leading on the implementation of an IT security strategy and disaster recovery plan that minimizes the risk of disruption to business, data loss or the breach of privacy of the TI-S data
Preparing key briefing papers, performance updates and reports on all ICT matters with clear options to assist decision making for the Management Group and the Group Director.
