The World Bank will hire an experienced individual consultant to carry out an assessment on EITI implementation in Ukraine with the aim of assessing the current institutional, legal, and regulatory framework and the likely barriers to EITI implementation

The World Bank will hire an experienced individual consultant to carry out an assessment on EITI implementation in Ukraine with the aim of assessing the current institutional, legal, and regulatory framework and the likely barriers to EITI implementation. The study will consist of:

  • Assessment of the legal, regulatory and fiscal framework of barriers to EITI implementation;

  • Analyses of the barriers to the inclusion of coal and iron sectors in the EITI report; and

  • Other contextual information on extractive industry in Ukraine and general readiness and compatibility with the new EITI standard.

In doing so the consultant will meet and interview a variety of stakeholders in Ukraine: Government agencies, private sector, civil society, and donors supporting the Governments program.
